The commitment of the participant
The Leadership Experience is a full year's commitment.
The participant will fully participate in the Leadership Experience in each of its phases:
- Phase 1: Pre-Intensive
- Phase 2: Intensive Residential course
- Phase 3: Post-Intensive
- Online Graduation
Requirements
During Phase 1 (Pre-Intensive), the participant will:
- Create and Communicate regularly with their prayer team.
- Take responsibility to meet with their mentor at least twice during this time. The participant is the one who will ensure that the meetings take place by arranging a time and place that are mutually suitable.
- Take responsibility to meet with their supervisor at least once during this time. The participant is the one who will ensure that the meetings take place by arranging a time and place that are mutually suitable.
- Complete the Community Research Assignment and other assignments.
- Engage in regular online session with their GCF LE cohort.
- Respond promptly to all communication from the GCF LE Facilitation Team
- Fulfil all outstanding financial obligations regarding Course Fees and travel as outlined in emails from GCF LE Facilitation Team.
During Phase 2 (Intensive Residential), the participant will:
- Commit to being present for the full intensive, knowing that late arrivals or early departures are not acceptable.
- Participate fully in the community life, learning and activities of the Residential Course
- Communicate regularly with their prayer team
- Remain in contact with mentor and supervisor
- In agreement with an LE advisor and their supervisor, decide on a Ministry Project that will adapt the learning of the Course into practical outcomes in the participant's ministry.
During Phase 3 (Post-Intensive), the participant will:
- Communicate regularly with their prayer team.
- Actively participate in online training sessions and submit assignments on time. Minimum requirements for participation will be outlined during Phase 2.
- Implement the agreed Project to the satisfaction of both the supervisor and the GCF LE requirements.
- Take responsibility to meet with their mentor at least once a month.
- Take responsibility to meet with their supervisor at least once a month.
- Respond promptly to all communication from the GCF LE Leadership Team
- Complete all LE program requirements prior to the issue of the GCF Leadership Experience Certificate.
- Submit an evaluation at the end of the LE year.
Throughout the entire Leadership Experience, participants are expected to conduct themselves in a way that is worthy of followers of Jesus. Should any disciplinary measures be necessary, the Participant will submit to decisions relating to impropriety or failure to comply with the covenant they have signed, even if these decisions terminate his or her involvement in the Course. Such decisions would be made by the GCF LE Leadership Team in agreement with the Participant’s supervisor. No refund of monies paid would be provided.
